About Me

Cat Insley

Georgia Fine Artist:

After a 15-year career in commercial art, I began to paint what I love.  My paintings sold in galleries and art shows across Texas, Florida, and Georgia.  Art, being my passion and obsession took over my life.  I deliriously studied every medium that enticed my id. Presently I am  studying and working in Oil & Cold Wax Medium, Encaustics, Acrylics, and Collage.  My work is intuitive and expressionistic in style, incorporating symbolism and elements of nature.  Adding and scraping back layer upon layer of paint, mingles with mark-making, collage, and texture.  Each of my paintings is an individual, capable of expressing a recent observation, or a long hidden emotion buried deep within my memory.  I merely indulge the brush….and I am thrilled.
